Apartments for rent?
Other than Craiglist, what is the best website to use when looking for an apartment in Nassau or Queens? Preferably no realtor fee...

for no fee- I had the best luck with craigs list
it's where I found my current apartment!

I second Craig's List - I found my Midtown apt. there - No fee.
Don't let brokers make you think you can only get into the nicer places WITH them ...........

I am still sick over what I paid for my first Queens Apartment
I was told the only way to find a "nice" apartment in bay terrace was with a broker
of course- at 1.5 months rent as a fee
the building decided not to renew any of the renters leases and to sell the apartments back to the board (which they can't sell  )
meanwhile my new apartment is bigger, newer and cheaper- it even has a parking spot included

we found our first place on apartments.com - no broker fee there either.
but i second craigslist if you are looking for an apartment in a house, as opposed to a development.
