Aother Stupid O Question
The other day I was reading the pregnancy board and there is one thread asking where the baby was conceived (as in where the sex took place) and it made me wonder how so many women could know exactly when they conceived. Which leads me to this question . . .
Is that day of ovulation the same day as conception (if you're lucky enough to get PG that cycle)??

I don't particularly think so...from what I've read, the egg can live for about 12 hours once released, so it can be fertilized at any time then. Also, since sperm can live for about 2-3 days (give or take) inside and you BD multiple days in a row right before O, then who knows which swimmer made it! I guess, the people on that board could really know for sure if they only BD once or twice.

I know the day I conceived b/c I knew when we BD and when I got OPK.
We were SUPPOSED to be following Deanna's Plan and doing it every other day from CD8 until I got my surge.
Well, we did it CD8, then DH fell asleep early on CD10 (got yelled at) so we did it CD11 and CD13. I had a dip in my temp (which I have noticed I do get on my O date) and a surge that day - so that's how I know that was the day (unless of course, I guess there could have been leftover from CD11).

I don't think so, not in our case...to be totally honest we only got to BD once that month so we weren't expecting it, but it thankfully happened.
I believe I O a day or so later

I read in "Taking Charge of your Fertility" that the day of conception can be upto 5 days after ovultaion. I think that they said we often think that it happens that day but it doesn't.
