anyone's infant constantly congested--for like 2 months??

DD is almost 6 months old.

at around 3-4 weeks we put her on soy formula after trying a ridiculous amount of other formulas. she had mucous in her poop and was going like 10 times a day and soy seemed to make things better. at 4 months we decided to try regular formula again to see if she outgrew the problems. the peds didn't think she had a milk allergy.

ever since around when we switched her she has been congested and has a "rattle" when she breathes at times. i brought it up at her 5 month appt and the doctor thought it was excess saliva from getting ready to teethe. he told me to try soy for 24 hours and if she cleared up, that was the problem. she didn't change at all. she tolerates the formula just fine and is on similac rs.

we have her 6 month appt this saturday but has anyone ever experienced this? she isn't bothered by it at all and can breathe just fine, but always makes noise. i'm so used to it i don't even hear it anymore but other people comment to me.

my DD has been congested for the last month and a half or so. at her last visit with the ped, i brought this up - the ped said this was related to her reflux. apparently, it gets in their nasal passages. we switched her meds and the congestion is still there, but other reflex-related issues have lessened and at least she seems more comfortable. if it's reflux, your dc should outgrow it soon.

My dd has been congested since December Chat Icon I kicked the dog out of the bedroom and den and took out everything except the necessities. She has finally been better. I also noticed she gets a little worse if the heat is on but nothing like before. Is it possible she has an environmental allergy? With dd it was congestion and a cough from the mucus dripping down. The ped kept saying it was a cold. Well they were wrong its an allergy I just don't know if it's the dog or the dust.

DS has been congested for like 2 months now. He had bronchitis in feb right after starting daycare. that went away. then id' say by april, the cough/congestion started again.

we just has his 6 mo checkup and they checked his breathing/oxygen levels and they were great. dr. said she can hear a little mucous in there, but nothing to worry about.

its common for daycare kids to be congested or coughing alot. she said "i wouldnt know my son if he didnt have a runny nose." the saline drops and bulb help get alot of gunk out. and he is teething bad which could also be contributing to all this.

ETA: if they are happy, eating well and taking their bottles, no fever, then its ok.

we were told when they start refusing the bottle (b/c breathing and sucking will be painful) then see a dr.
