Anyones DC sit up really early?

So my DD will be 3 months on saturday and can sit up for around 5-6 sec without toppling over. I am shocked as DS did it at around 4.5 weeks. Is it OK, I mean shes so young, can it hurt her hips or legs. Can I encourage it? Or should I wait. We have a ped appt on wed so I will ask then, but thought I would get some advice from you ladies

My DS sat up unassisted at around 4.5 months. I have a picture on my Facebook page that I took when he was still in the "sitting up for a few seconds and then falling over stage" and I just checked the date - he was about 3.5 months. I think your DD is just fine - some babies have amazing head and neck control from an early age - sounds like she's one of them. My DS is just fine, didn't harm him!

DD is just 4 months and she sits unassisted for a few seconds and then topples. If she would learn to hold herself up with her hands we would have a sitter!!!
