She has pretty much outgrown the infant tub and she sits by herself now. She is a little over 6 months old. Is it ok to run a regular bath and have her sit in it? I don't see why not, but I am just checking to see when most of you started your DC's in regular baths?

My dd is 16 months and I still use a bathseat. I think 6 months is a little too young to be without something. The bath is slippery so she could easily slip on her butt and slide under water.

With DD I tried the bath seat and HATED it. I did her in the kitchen sink until she had complete control

I started dd in the bath at 6 months. We use the bear sponge that you can get at BRU to sit her on so she doesn't slip. It's awkward at first to bathe them in the tub - sometimes I get in the tub with her, it helps me feel like I have more control in case she slips.

Good luck!

My DD started sitting up at 5 months so we got her a bath seat. She was in that untill 11 months. I tried to put her in the tub without anything when she was 8 months old and she slipped so I stuck to the bath seat for a long time.

Can I see what these bath seats look like?

by that time I had josh in the tub solo. I debated getting a seat, but he loved swimming and squirming around so much.

I'm going to try that. She would probably like the freedom.

This is the bathseat I have been using
