Anyone's DC hate their crib ?

My dd hates her crib. If she falls asleep in our arms, as soon as we put her down in the crib she immediately wakes up and starts a tantrum. I tried CIO a few weeks ago. It seemed to work a bit but she had one bad night last week and her cry has been raspy ever since. So I stopped CIO for now because I want her vocal cords to get better. So now when she wakes up in the middle of night it's so hard to get her back to sleep in the crib. I'm losing so much sleep. Last night it took me 2 hours and she still won and ended up in the bed with me. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions on how to make my baby like her crib? Shes 9 months.

I'm having the same problem, dd is 6 months and addicted to her rock n play which she's growing out of. I don't know of this is the right way to do it but it's what I've been trying because I really don't like to make her CIO. Each night I try to at least start her out in the crib. She's usually so konked out after her last bottle so sometimes I can put her down without noticing. It used to be that if she woke up while I was putting her down she'd immediately start screaming and flailing, but now after a few weeks of trying she's at the point that she will usually close her eyes and go back to sleep so I think she's getting used to it. I just keep my hand on her chest to comfort her until she drifts off. Then she usually doesn't make it for long in the crib, maybe 30 min to an hour. Although last night she made it 2 hours before waking. If she seems really upset I move her back into the rock n play. I don't know if the inconsistency is confusing her but I'd rather ease into it and let us both at least get some sleep. Then when she wakes at 4 or 5 am to eat I usually put her back in the crib and since she's so drowsy still she usually falls asleep. I think I'm making progress, although very slowly, because she's starting to make t for longer periods Of time in the crib and a few times she's actually woken up and fell back to sleep on her own in the crib, s hopefully she's getting used to it. Don't feel bad if you can't get your dd to like the crib overnight. It will happen eventually, at least that's what I keep telling myself.

My DS was the same way, first we bought that crib wedge thing to put him on more of an incline (he was sleeping in the RNP) and by 4 months I believe he totally transitioned into the crib. We took the wedge out after a month or so.

DS1 hated the crib. We tried everything to get him in there. We had a little bit of success from 10-12 months, but he had to be completely asleep. Once he started cutting teeth, he was back in our bed. Once we converted the crib to a full bed, he was great. It was a very smooth transition and I wish we had converted it earlier.

DS2 is following a similar path. He sleeps great in the swing, but doesn't seem to like the crib. He sleeps so well that we haven't really pushed the crib. I don't have any advice, but wanted to let you know you're not alone.

Im with you! Dd is. 9 months and she also hates her crib. We have her in the pack n play and she loves it, so I'm not stressing.

oh well at least your dd likes the pnp. mine hates it ! she only likes her RNP or our BED , which both are not safe for her. Its so frustrating. She is resisting naps too because she will fall asleep in my arms with a bottle and then as soon as i go put her in the crib she immediately wakes up. Then she skips a nap and the day is just horrible.

my DD hated the crib and the PNP, so at 8 months old we put a mattress on the floor. shes been in her twin since then.

DS was a little more tolerant, he was in a twin at 13 months old

My Ds hated his crib...right after he started walking around his 1st birthday we converted it to a toddler bed and he did great every since

DD hated her crib when we first transitioned her from her RnP at two months, but I didn't offer her an alternative. It was a ROUGH couple of weeks, but now she sleeps great in her crib.
