Anyone's baby sleep in the swing?

DD HATES her bassinet. IS it ok if I let her sleep in the swing all night (which really means for a few hours at a time since she barely sleeps more than 2 hours at a time at night). Is it bad for the back development?

It's ok to sleep in the swing. I have heard that babies should sleep where ever they WILL sleep. My younger cusin slept in her infant seat for the longest. Being a bit upright helps with digestion too. Maybe put a towel under the bassinet cushion. That's what I did. Also, did you try swaddling in the bassinet? How old is DD?

My DD slept in a swing until she was 6 months old. Her ped actually recommended it because she has reflux. Once she became too big to sleep in her swing at 6 months, after her ped visit, she started sleeping in her crib. Never had a problem and she is on target with her development!!

Thanks!! She is 1 month with mild reflux. I tried the towel under the bassinet but it didn't work. She mainly likes to sleep on my chest but I don't like doing it too often b/c I think it's a little dangerous. I also swaddle but she hates her hands being swaddled and gets out of it. I now use the sleep sack swaddle and remove her hands from the swaddle

I was told not to let him sleep or stay in the swing too long. He was positioning his head a certain way and it was messing up his neck.

DD2 slept in the papasan swing or her car seat for the first few months because of reflux. She is now 7 months and is fine.....although the minute she was put on meds and was able to lay down she NEVER wanted to be in that swing....

For the past few nights DD has been super cranky and will only sleep in the bouncy seat

My kids slept in their bouncies until they wre 5 months old. I was a BF'ing twin Mom...if they would sleep and I could strap them in or keep them safe I did it!

My boys slept in their bouncy seats for the first 3 months. They would sleep in their swings during the day. They hated their bassinets and their cribs.

DS only slept in the swing at night until he was 3 months.
He hated the bassinet but at 3 months actually did better in the crib.

My DS slept in his swing all night from 1 1/2 - 3 months and then we moved him into his crib. He has yet to have a solid night sleep in the crib, wakes up a few times a night and had a cold last week so we moved him back into his swing and he is sleeping 11 hours

I know we are going to have to move him back in the crib and it's a temp thing, but we are all getting an amazing night sleep.

DD slept in her swing until she was 4 months. She started sleeping thru the night at 6 weeks. I'm not sure if this is true but i heard not the let the swing move the whole time. We would turn the swing on to get her to sleep then turn it off for the rest of the night.
