My son is 5 and in a special kindergarten. He was diagnosed with severe apraxia and possible auditory processing issues. He also has fine motor delays and some sensory.

We have been told that he is not autistic, not on the spectrum at all and that some of the minor "quirks" as some have referred to them as, is just part of his apraxia.

We have taken him to numerous specialist including two neurologists (going to another on in April) and have even had him tested for fragile x, negative.

I'm beginning to question that maybe he does have it and maybe it is more "mild" or not being picked up on. He is starting to have some behavioral issues at school and I'm wondering if we are all missing something else.

Help? Ideas? I just want to make sure he is getting the help he needs. Thanks.
