Anyone taking DHEA?
Is any of you ladies taking DHEA? I've read on it and it comes with many side effects that scare the heck out of me .... Have you experienced any side effects from it? What brand are you using and what is the dose you're on?

Re: Anyone taking DHEA?
Were you diagnosed with low DHEA levels? I was diagnosed with high levels and asked the doctor if I could take anything. He said in my case there is nothing to be done because the supplements sometimes cause more harm than good. HTH

Re: Anyone taking DHEA?
My RE said that even though it hasn't been scientifically proven it could help. I'm a poor responder and it's supposed to help me produce a higher number of eggs for my IVF, I think But I read on the side effects and I'm really scared to take it..... Side effects include hair falling off severe acne weight gain and all different types of cancer I think I'll just stick with my couple of eggies....

Re: Anyone taking DHEA?
Because of my insuling and DHEA levels my RE has me seeing a nutrionalist. She suggested that I stay away from yams because they contain DHEA and the sugars are not good for me. So maybe if you start eating yams that could help. It might be a far reach, but hey you never know. Good luck!

WOW! Thanks for the information! I never knew that yams contain DHEA! I love them! You know what I'm having as part of my dinner tonight!
