i think it is better to sign up because just the fact that they weigh you in every week; knowing that you have to have someone weigh you makes you stick to it more out of sheer embarassment. you wouldnt want to gain if someone was weighing you. so thats why i did it. if i had to weigh myself, i would always feel like i could cheat because no one would know... kwim?

That's totally how I feel, I did so great on it before I got pregnant with DD. The fear of the scale kept me motivated and it became a game to see how much I could lose before next weigh in and I loved going to the meetings.

I'm on WW!!! I've lost 22 pounds so far since August. It's slowed down lately...mostly because I lost a lot of motivation, but I'm back!! good luck!
ETA I go to the Sunday 10am meetings in wantagh.

ugh i need to lose a ton. i cant believe how much i gained in the year and a half that i have been married; its really disgusting. i lost so much before the wedding and swore i would never get fat again and then i did. i cant see how i did this to myself. so i just wrote down in my WW book that my goal is 125. We'll see how I do this... The WW in Massapequa is on Sunrise HWY across from Sunrise Mall. Thats where I go.

thats great! congrats on the weight loss!!! the motivation is hard to keep but I HAVE TO DO IT!!!!! I wanted to join Wantagh but I figured it was a waste since I have the Massapequa one right down the block from my house...

I REALLY need to re-join. A few years ago I lost 50+ lbs on WW, but unfortunately I've gained back MORE than half. It would be great to lose at least SOME of this weight before getting pregnant so I don't become too much of a blimp once pregnant.

i gained back the 20 pounds i lost before the wedding on WW and would love to lose it before we ttc in the spring so i don't get too huge when i'm preggers. i'm trying to do it on my own now but i have so much trouble on the weekends. my office is actually going to be having meetings in 2 weeks and i'll be joining there. hopefully we can all support each other here on the TTC board!

I am on WW.... I gained 20 pounds since the wedding and I feel so gross about myself. I also think that TTC'ing and trying to lose weight is hard. I know that I focused so much on TTC that I couldnt focus on anything else besides that. I feel a lot better on WW because I am focusing my attention onto myself and my health....
