We did this for most of 2007 - up until September. But up until September, I had no idea that CM had anything to do with getting the little guys where they needed to go. And, it turns out, I just don't produce enough CM. In November, I used Mucinex & Preseed and got a BFP. It didn't work out  , but now I know I need a little help in the CM department. If I didn't, it might have worked for us.
If you don't want the added stress of charting & temping & OPKs, I'm all for just "what happens, happens." It's worth, for a couple of months at least, it to see how it works for you!

I got my BFP that way!! I just estimated to when I SHOULD be ovulating & we BD around that time & BAM!!! BFP the 2nd month!

It's a lube that is not harmful to sperm. Most are. I'm pretty sure this is what LIgrl meant, I just wanted to clarify.

DH and I started doing this in Aprill 2006--I was preggo Augsut 2006---no stress, no testing for ovulating....i was going to do this if it didnt happen probably after 6 months

i'm sorry but this made me 
preseed is lubricant that is safe for sperm - most lubes are not sperm-friendly and actually prevent sperm from moving from the cervix to the uterus.
DH and i tried for three cycles just going by CM, but then i got frustrated, so this last cycle i used OPKs, robitussin, preseed and b-complex vitamins and *something* worked!
