Anyone live in Howard Beach ?
Just venting but lately we have been going to blockbuster , starbucks, and other places on Cross Bay
I think this neighborhood is changing ???

I agree.....
Also, theres been some break ins/robberies and a lot of cops have been stationed on 157th ave
if u go into blockbuster, it has changed, but that is only bc there is no blockbuster closer....

I live in Lindenood and since there is a shopping center there, I rarely go on crossbay blvd. The only places I go are to Gap, Marlowes or Frenasia. I stopped going to that Blockbuster years ago b/c they never have anything good to rent that is actually in!

Not sure how long you have all lived there, but when I was little, I loved going to the rides on cross bay blvd
We used to go to the Bow Wow and a dessert place on a corner, sweet something.
There was a bowling alley where the gym is and in lindenwood there was an awesome pool. I went to kindergarten at PS 232 and St. Helens.
Every Saturday I would get a reese's from ragtime with my dad and we would go to A&S porkstore.

ETA: we moved to lindenwood in 1980 and the pool was there for only a year or 2 after that
