Anyone here really good with QuickBooks?
I need to know how to add a payment method in the "Pay Bills" screen

I think this refers to how to ACCEPT payments, but I need to figure out how to MAKE a payment.
It only offers me check and credit card.

Hmm, well I have check, credit card & online payment. You have to have your bank account registered with Quickbooks though in order to do the online payments...

in the manual it says
Quickbooks prepopulates the payment methods with common payment methods. If you have a payment method that isn't listed, you can add that method to the list. To do so, press CTRL-N to open the New Payment Method window. Name the payment method & select the appropriate payment type.

Right, but I don't pay through my bank. I do the payments on my own through the bank or through EFT....
So confusing!

Can't you just make a payment with a "check" but rather than assign it a check number, you'd use your wire confirm # instead?

This is how we do it...If not, you can do it this way
Go to Lists
Go to Customer & Vendor Profile Lists
Go to Payment Method List
On the bottom, click on Payment Method & you can add a new one

When I pay things online I go into the register and put in ONLINE in the check # space then put the confirmation # in the memo.
