Anyone here didn't sleep train their baby?

Just curious, anyone here not sleep train their baby but the baby eventually learn to sleep on his/her own? And how long did it take b4 he/she slept on her own?

My 7 mo. can't seem to sleep w/o me holding him or feeding him. It's abit frustrating 'cus he still wakes up at least 2x at night but can't self-soothe. I also don't want to try CIO.

Would love to hear from moms who have BTDT!

Thanks!

I didnt but I dont know if I would be too much help because She started sleeping mostly through the night around 8 or 9 weeks and completely by 10 or 11.

I did get her to sleep in her crib for naps within the last month without CIO....she is a pretty good sleeper though and puts herself to sleep without rocking(unless she is way overtired).

i didnt and by 10 months most sleep issues were out of the way. Thats not to say we never let him CIO some nights, but it was never a regimented thing. We just went with out gut and did what we felt would work for DS and figured it out as we went along.

I didn't and I didn't want to do CIO . It wasn't easy and it took about 18 months for DD to start sleeping though the night . (most of the time she would go to sleep just fine, the problem was that she would wake up few times a night)

We still co-sleep and may need to do some form of sleep training when we transition DS to the crib, but right now, he's STTN. Chat Icon He needed to be held or in the swing for a very long time. By 6.5-7 months, he started being able to sleep next to us for long periods of time. At 7 months, he started STTN. Around that time, we stopped holding him at all during the night.

I didn't sleep train with either child.

DD has been sleeping through the night since 3 months. And DS the same. When they have bad nights, I still don't CIO. It is not for us.

Re: Anyone here didn't sleep train their baby?

I didn't with either child. DD used to wake up in the middle of the night & sleep in bed with me from the time she was 4 months until she was 2. When she was 2, we moved her to a twin bed in her own room. She started sleeping through the night no problems from that day on. She's 4 now & as soon as 9pm hits she starts getting herself ready for bed.

DS was an awful sleeper until about 12 weeks. He's 4 months now & he mostly sleeps through the night. Some nights he'll get up around 3 or 4 & those nights I just put him in bed with us.

I didn't/don't.

Many of the sleeping problems resolved on their own by 9 months or so. I just went with it and started letting her fuss (not cry) a little more as she got older. The only thing she still does is occassionally get up in the wee morning hours for a bottle, but I canlive with that a little longer.

DD has been sleeping through the night in her crib since 5 weeks old. We put her down drowsy and she puts herself to sleep. We used to swaddle but now just use a sleep sack. We also have an air purifier in her room for white noise and dark drapes. FM me if you want more info.

We sort of tried. We wavered too much so it never really worked.

He STTN from 2-5 months then regressed because he had no idea how to self soothe.

A friend gave me an idea......since DS takes a binky at night & for naps put like 15 in the crib! He learned EVENTAULLY to find them & that helped some!!! That was at around 7 months old.

By 10 months most of his sleep issues were worked out. But for him I truly think it because he finally learned to roll over & found his tummy!!! If he wakes now it's for a reason.
