Anyone have Placenta Previa early on?
So...my bleeding was that the placenta moved & it is now in front of the Cervix (Placenta Previa). Doctor said that since it is early, 14 weeks, most likely by the time I give birth the placenta will be where it should be. Anyone have this early on?

Re: Anyone have Placenta Previa early on?
Had it early on, and now at 28 weeks I have frequent sonos because it still hasn't moved enough. It needs to move another 2cm for me to deliver naturally, and it has made progress since week 14, but not that much so far. Apparently it does mpve for many people; we'll see if mine moves enough to deliver naturally...

I had it with my first pregnancy. The placenta wasn't completely covering my cervix, but it was what they considered to be "low-lying". It moved up by 20-something weeks.

I have it now also, I am 13 weeks with twins. They told me today at the dr that it should move on its own. I keep taking their word on it!!!

Ok...so I see it is very common!!! I guess @ the worst, if it doesn't move, they do a Csection...I am fine w/ that as long as the baby is good, ya know!

Re: Anyone have Placenta Previa early on?
I had it at 14wks. It caused some scary spotting. It hadn't budged at my 16wk sono.....then I went for a 20wk sono and it moved!!! I'm in the clear now - restrictions lifted.

Re: Anyone have Placenta Previa early on?
Ok, glad it moved for you both. Why do they put restrictions on us if it has not moved?

Re: Anyone have Placenta Previa early on?
I had it at my 20 wk sono, thankfully by 27 wks it had moved on its own. My dr said 90% of the time it moves on its own.
They'll put you on restrictions b/c as the baby gets heavier & its more pressure, it could get dangerous. I had a friend have her baby at 29 wks b/c she walked (a mile in a parade...silly) & she ended up going into labor.

I was not on any restrictions, and it hasn't moved, so maybe that's why it didn't move.

I'm 18 1/2 weeks. I was just diagnosed today w/ Marginal Placenta Previa. I am going back for another sonogram at 28 weeks to check if it's moved.
