Anyone have gnats in their home?

I think the gnats are getting in through the screens since they are so small they can fit into the little squares of the screen. I don't know what to do. I don't want to keep all the windows shut but I also don't want gnats.

My mom has been in her home for over 30 years and for the first time ever, she is somehow also getting gnats through the screens. Very odd. She had to shut the windows b/c the gnats kept getting through. You arent the first person to say this in the last week. It's odd.

They can also come up through the drains. Pur some bleach and baking soda in your kitchen drain

I am assuming so because I woke up with bites on my feet this morning.

However, I have a DH who often leaves our back sliding door wide open and will walk away from it.

Re: Anyone have gnats in their home?

We got them every spring for 2 years. We had a pest control contract and they'd keep coming and putting stuff down the drains. Nobody could figure it out. Turns out our sink wasn't caulked properly and water was getting under the counter and they were nesting. Since caulking the sink last summer we haven't had them again.

Gnats are usually due to water - you have to find the source. Are they in one room more than the others? We saw them more in the kitchen - they'd eventually migrate to other rooms, but we definitely knew the source was something in our kitchen.

I hope you figure out how to get rid of them I know how terribly annoying they are!!!! Good luckChat Icon
