Anyone have forced air heat?
Do you ever have the vents cleaned and who do you use? If you did it recently, do you remember the aprox cost?

yes. we did one of those "specials" in the Yankee Trader. it was like $70 bucks for 8 vents and one register according to the ad. We had 12 vents and like three registers, so after they left it was almost $400 for the extra vents! Glad we had it done though bc DH has bad allergies and the stuff that came out you would just Icon Cleaning was the place we used

We have forced air heat and got the vents cleaned last week. We spent the same amount as Mrs Flatbread.
It's definitely a good idea - the guy who did ours told us they were pretty bad. I have bad allergies so we figured it was well worth it!
eta - We're in Rockland County so I didn't bother giving the company name.

We have forced air heat, as well as our CAC coming through the same vents. We've never had them cleaned, but my DH does shop vac all the registers and runs the vacuum hose down to clean the vents up a bit. Seems to do the trick.
