Forced Air to Baseboard Conversion?

We want to convert from forced hot air to baseboard heating but have no idea how much this should cost? We have a small three bedroom two floor house, but will be finishing the basement so would like to install heat there as well. We are considering switching from oil to gas.

Obvioulsy I'm clueless!

Any opinions welcome - TIA!

Re: Forced Air to Baseboard Conversion?

I had slomins in for a quote last year and they told me it would be around $9,000.00. That is not including the holes in the walls and floors that they might have to make.

Have no idea about the cost, but just keep in mind that baseboard heating drastically changes what you can do with your furniture. We're going to be switching in the other direction, and I'm looking forward to having more wall space to better arrange the furniture we have.

We are actually going to make the switch to give us more space in our basement (the boiler with the "arms" to the vent is huge!), but thank you anyway!
