Anyone have a Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker?
My DH wants this for his birthday so I'm just wondering if it's really worth $299  I think they sell it at BB&B though so I would at least try to get it with a 20% of coupon. Still a lot of money for a blender!

I would rather get a good Kitchen Aid, Cuisinart etc.. blender and make up a little margarita basket with glasses, salt, tequilla, mix, and limes

it's only $170 at costco
they have a $199 model too, but he wants the $299 model because it can make only 1 drink at a time instead of a whole pitcher.

I think it's slightly different than a blender since it stores and dispenses the ice into it and seems pretty heavy duty....
Not sure though...
I could never seem to afford it- but I'd love one!

this is the best thing ever. it measures out exactly how much ice you need and makes the perfect margarita. ok, fine, it's basically a blender but totally a suped up one!
i think everyone that has a backyard and a bbq should have one lol

A bunch of us did something similar for my BIL and his SO (they have a rooftop patio in Boston.)
We got them the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker, an icemaker (so they wouldn't have to keep going down to the kitchen) and I made a basket with the following:
6 different colored salts
Glass rimmer with extra sponges
The Great Margarita Book
some witty margarita cocktail napkins
A wooden sign that read "If you can read this sign, then you need another margarita."
and
Tequila (of course)

Good to know, i was ALMOST going to take it off my registry
totally keep it on. i wish i was getting married all over again, just so i could put this on the registry in every color it comes in

We have the Key West model, it's the middle one. It's awesome! I used a 25% off coupon that I had gotten out of the news paper (it was a special coupon) at BBB. It says on the coupon that it isn't valid on Margaritaville but I put the thing in the cart and at the register told them I wasn't going to buy it if I couldn't use the coupon and they let me.
