Anyone have a LEEP or other cervical surgery
and then go on to deliver naturally?
Taking a long shot chance at some stories to encourage me...
The Dr's keep saying my cervical scarring might prevent dilation..
TIA!

Re: Anyone have a LEEP or other cervical surgery
I had 2 leeps & my dilation stalled at 5 cm. I ended up with a c-section. It never occurred to me that the 2 were related.

Re: Anyone have a LEEP or other cervical surgery
I had a LEEP procedure back in the 90's and was considered high risk throughout my PG. I delivered my DD on my 39th wk. I was a fingertip dilated till the day i delivered. I started losing my mucos plug and then had contractions. The DR had to break my water and even massage the area down there so i would dialate even further. He said i probably had scarring down there which prevented me from dilating fully.
I delivered vaginally.

Re: Anyone have a LEEP or other cervical surgery
I had cryrotherapy and my best friend had LEEP and/or the "cone" procedure (I don't recall if she had both) - we delivered naturally. They monitored her cervix more closely, and she delivered a week early.

Re: Anyone have a LEEP or other cervical surgery
I had a leep procedure in 2001 and due to complications at the end of my pregnancy I was induced at 38 weeks and delivered vaginallly with no problems. It wasnt even mentioned through my pregnancy or during my delivery.

Re: Anyone have a LEEP or other cervical surgery
I had a LEEP done about 7 years before getting pregnant. It never came up while I was pregnant so I guess it was not even an issue.
I had a c-section but that was because DS was breech

I had my ds in 6/03 and had a LEEP cone done 10/03. I wen on to delivery my dd and ds naturally with no problems at all with dilation. With my ds who was just born at the beginning of May I was 4 cm for 3 weeks.
I wouldn't worry too much.
