Anyone get pregnant while BF

...and if so how often were you still BF and did you have your periods back or did you just catch that egg?!

Nope....but I'm trying to. My DS is almost 14 months. He still nurses several times a day and every couple hours at night. He also eats 3 meals and a snack or two (after all that...he's really tiny!!). Anyway, I got my period back at 10 months PP, but my cycles are very long and irregular (40-47 days whereas they used to be 32-33 pre DS). DH and I just began trying this month. Right now I'm 3dpo. We'll see!

I dont have my period back yet. DS is 18 months and still nurses in the evening, once or twice a night and in the morning. He would nurse during the day too but I try not to let him..he drinks water from a sippy all day but will not take any form of milk.

We are not actively trying but not "not" trying either but I guess unless I start ovulating soon I had better wean him.

I live in hope of catching the imfamous lucky egg

I wonder if OPKs would work for you? Just to see if you are getting an LH surge. Many women don't get AF back until they are completely done with nursing...but as you know, that absolutely doesn't mean you're not ovulating. Anyway, thanks for the .
And....I'm happy to hear that another toddler wakes at night to nurse. My son is so not ready to give up any of his night sessions. They are short and sweet so I usually don't mind...but some days I'm ill from exhaustion. I have no business trying for another one!!!

Ha ha....those night nursings would kill you but what can you do? Its like a means to an end in our house -feed him and he will go back to sleep...deny him the boobs and we are up for the night....

I have OPK's but haven't bothered to use them - might dig them out and start using them next week to see if anything happens.

I didn't get my period back with my first child until she turned 2!! but if I want a third I really want to get moving on it ASAP.

I BF and just started trying for DC#2. DS is 9 months and I got AF at 7 mos PP. My cycle was 35 days last month and I am taking OPKs this month and still no smiley face at CD18, which is when I used to get it when trying for #1. So who knows...DS only nurses 4x/day, eats 3 meals and is mostly on table food. Thankfully (now) he STTN! My supply dropped significantly when AF came back

I did with DS2. I got AF back 6 months PP and was PG on the first shot around 10 months. I continued to nurse until I was 16 wks PG. I just weaned DS2 a few wks ago, but have had AF back since 8 months PP.

My girlfriend was BF, didnt have AF yet. I think her DS was 3 months old.....

I did but had a miscarriage unfortunately. I had my periods back and they were pretty regular. DS was 8.5mos. and I was bf about 2-3 times/ day. I got pregnant exactly when I should have- dtd day or two before ovulation. GL!!

Well..i guess you can! Still bf'ing and got my BFP. Tell you this much, its painful to bf. Ouch.
