She might have been pushed, fallen off a cliff by accident, been murdered, or trafficked.
But whatever happens he knows that something happened.
How long can someone not speak to the police? I know he doesn’t have to speak to the police, but how long can this go on? Or will it be years until it goes to trial?

I just read this on Daily Mail:
Utah police have revealed they responded to an 'incident' involving 22-year-old 'van-life woman' Gabby Petito and her boyfriend just two weeks before she was last seen in Wyoming. Moab Chief of Police Bret Edge said: 'Our officers did respond to an incident involving Brian Laundrie and Gabrielle Petito on 12 August 2021 however, neither Brian or Gabrielle were the reporting party. Officers conducted an investigation and determined that insufficient evidence existed to justify criminal charges.' It not clear what the incident was about.

How long can someone not speak to the police? I know he doesn’t have to speak to the police, but how long can this go on? Or will it be years until it goes to trial?
Exactly so odd that they are able to just let the lawyer talk and not push to talk to him.

But being her boyfriend is somewhat the only person looking like a suspect somewhat right now; can't the Authorities make him speak or take him in to ask him questions? It doesn't make sense that it's his free will not to speak to authorities when a person is missing for possibly over 2 weeks now??
Clearly, I must not know the laws very well.

They just declared her boyfriend a person of interest in her disappearance.
I think anyone who's heard the story has come to that conclusion already lol.

People are analyzing the speech of the last few posts, which seems to have a similar tone to her BF’s. Previously, her tone was different and more simple.

There are so many of her IG posted that were "edited". He probably has no clue that editing a post is visible. And then when you go to his page, he has "edited" a lot too which tells me; he has edited her page. Many people are noticing that.
Although One post he writes on July 18th I find semi-disturbing:

I guess an incident occurred that scared some concerned people who were near them and they called the police. The cops classified it as a “domestic event.”
Not looking good.

Since he retained counsel, police can't question him w/o his attorney present regardless of whether or not they arrest him. his attorney will likely advise him not to answer anything. It also prevents the police from an endless interrogation when many false confessions are given.
It's very suspicious circumstances but it was very smart to retain an attorney

Thanks for saying that, JD. That’s the one thing I disagree with (when reading comments on social media). People think it looks bad that he retained a lawyer. I would get a lawyer ASAP whether I was guilty or innocent in this situation. I would handle everything else differently than this guy but it would be smart to get a lawyer.

"Two days later, a newlywed couple was found shot to death in nearby South Mesa after being seen at a bar in town the night before, according to Fox News. The Grand County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet they aren’t “ruling out” a connection to the missing woman’s case."

Instagram claims it took down fake GP profiles but then restored it.
But BL spoke willingly to police over a domestic dispute in Moab, yet now chooses to remain silent. His lawyer is now claiming that "initmate partners" are often the first person of interest and speaking up would make him look guilty.
There's also word of other murders in UT that occurred when BL was there and his social media displays concerning content...this is about to get really crazy.
