Anyone ever have their house blessed?
I'm having problems lately in my apartment -- nothing crazy, but I'm feeling very uneasy and as if theres something else here. I was thinking of having a priest come bless the apartment, but I dont want to waste my time if its not going to "work." Has anyone experienced any similar issues and did blessing the house work or did you do something else to cleanse the house?

my mom is very religious and when we first moved in one of her friends who is a priest came and blessed the house, but we weren't having any problems or anything, he just blessed each room and said a little prayer.

I haven't.
Do you think whatever is in your home is harmful? Like, I think we have, spirits, for lack of a better term in our house. They do things like move the blinds back and forth, turn the TV on after I've shut it. Harmless stuff... so I'm not terribly nervous about it.
But if you're getting an uneasy feeling about it, call a priest or maybe try a new-agey kind of place and see if they can offer any assistance.

Nothing in our apartment moves or turns on and off type thing, but I get a very very uneasy feeling anytime im here. I feel like i'm constantly being watched and followed. Although it may be harmless, I'm terrified all the time. At this point, I just want it out.

we did when we bought out house, the priest came by , did like a walk aorund & blessed it

after we did the renovations in our home i had a priest come and bless it.
but the stuff you are talking about could be lingering spirits, if you believe in that stuff. say some prayers and if you feel a presence tell them they have to leave go toward the light (please dont laugh at me LOLOLOL...i watch sylvia brown0

Do the priests still do this? Do you just call your local church? Do you have to give the priest a donation when he comes?

I am going to ask the priest that married us only because he is a family friend...my mom had a nun do it again a family friend...I don't know if you can just walk into a local parish and ask a priest to do this. And we will give a donation/gift to him for doing it.

My MIL is very religious. When we bought our house, she came over & blessed it with holy water & did some prayers...This meant a lot to me

My grandmother has done it. She is VERY religious, and swears the priest has helped her. He is actually coming back this weekend (grandfathers passing ann) so she feels he has "been around her".

We bought our house from a nun so I feel that it is already blessed but once we move in (we are doing work right now) I want to have it blessed by a priest also.

for my apartment i just asked for holy water and i will bless it myself but when we get a house i am going to ask my priest to come by
i would just ask him to come and bless it and have some pastries and coffee ready for when he comes. . .
