It hits me at night - around 3am. Tums help.
ETA: And apparently baby girl has a lot of hair!

Mine usually aggravates me in the evening after dinner - you know right when I am trying to get ready for bed.
Tums seem to be enough right now.

I had it so bad with my 1st that I would wake up in the middle of the night and throw up! And she was totally bald! Nothing really helped, except trying to stay propped up on pillows and a few Tums.
With my 2nd, I had practically no heartburn and she had more hair than I do! You can't believe the old wives tales!

This. I would have died my last pregnancy without it. I would take so many tums I was nauseous and they didn't do a thing. I finally took Zantac and couldn't believe I waited so long to try it. A lifesaver.

anyone else with killer heartburn?
I got it awful with my DS. I just had it for the first time (at 22 weeks) with #2. With my DS absolutely nothing worked. Even milk gave me heartburn. If I get it this time around any more, I definitely need to try zantac.

Definitely Zantac! I take it twice a day, still have to take tums once in awhile but even water gives me heartburn

Tums worked temporarily and then it got to the point where I was taking 6+ a day and it did nothing.
I've since switched to Zantac and it's a LIFE CHANGER!!!!!!!!

I have to echo the women that said Zantac 150. My doctor recommended it and it works so fast. It's been a life safer when I've needed it.

Love zantac, but Dr preferred Tums, milk works for me but only after Tums, sitting up on couch instead of bed, also I was amazed to see how much eating dried figs helped!

I'm sitting up with heartburn tonight. I'm usually ok if I don't have bread after lunch. I took a one inch slice of DH's eggplant parm sandwich at dinner. Half an hour after laying down in bed, I was really regretting it.
