Anyone else short of breath so early in your pregnancy
Im almost 12wks and I feel like I am always out of breath. I walk from my desk to the fax (which is only 10 feet away maybe) and I can hardly breath. Im not over weight and I have only gained 5 pounds so far but I feel like this is super early to be so breathless...
Anyone else?

yes this happened to me. as early as like 8 weeks I would be huffing and puffing after walking up a short flight of stairs!

I was that way, too. My doc mentioned early on to maybe just get checked out at a cardiologist, but then it went away, so I didn't. I think it can be a "normal" symptom for some people. Lucky us!
Now the breathlessness is back, but I blame it on the fact that I'm lugging around a huge baby boy.

I had this with DS#2. it was really odd imo. My dr mentioned seeign a cardiologist but I said no. I had it on and off throughout my pregnancy but was fine once I delivered.

Yes! I worked in a 4 story browstone and that was one of the things I noticed immediately!

I am having this too. Glad I'm not the only one. Hang in there. The humidity isn't helping either!

Re: Anyone else short of breath so early in your pregnancy
I had that really bad in the first trimester. My bedroom is upstairs, and DH would always make fun of me, because walking up that one flight and then changing into my pajamas was enough to leave me panting for about 5 minutes.
Also, I'm a teacher, and when I had to read the "listening" part of my midterm - about 20 minutes of me talking and pausing only briefly for them to answer questions - at 10w pregnant, I got out of breath. Just from talking! That was really uncomfortable. And the kids didn't know I was pregnant yet, so I just seemed like a heavy-breathing weirdo.

I got it to. Even at 22 I'm still breathing kinda heavy, I feel like I ran 5 miles or something.

Re: Anyone else short of breath so early in your pregnancy
It's how I knew I was pregnant: totally normal. Your blood volume goes up and your heart rate goes up very early... makes you more "intolerant" of additional stresses.

Re: Anyone else short of breath so early in your pregnancy
I was veryyyy short of breath, especially at work or walking up/down steps.. I was actually sent to a pulmonologist but it was just normal pregnancy stuff!
