Anyone else shopping?

Yes I'm having a shower but we didnt register for clothes or diapers so dh and I do some shopping a week so it doesn't hit us all at once. Her room won't be done for another month or 2 and I just realized her bin is full but we can't stop its an addiction. Carter's had a 40% sale and I had coupons so we bought more clothes tonight in all different sizes. Am I the only one shopping? We are picking up another pack of diapers tomorrow

We are Chat Icon , so no shopping here. My mom on the other hand doesn't care and has bought every yellow/neutral outfit that exists. I had to tell her yesterday to stop bc it's getting to be a little much.Chat Icon

All we bought so far is a coming home outfit (one for boy, one for girl).

I'd be broke if we knew the sex!

Re: Anyone else shopping?

We are team Chat Icon and I already have a boy and a girl so I am only got a going home outfit for each sex. My nursery is all done and waiting to be decorated after we find out Chat Icon or Chat Icon , I have bought a few things that I Loved and couldn't pass up...I will just return them if it is the opposite sex.

I have been compulsively stocking up on household items...toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo etc because I am afraid it will be tough to get out with 3 kids under 26 months!

If I was finding out I would be. I shopped like a nut for DD but this one is a suprise. Its killing me but I can't. Maybe as I get closer I'll buy a few girl or boy oufits that I can return what I don't need.

Re: Anyone else shopping?

Don't buy too much! DD went right into 0-3 months stuff and by about 2 months was in 3-6 month stuff. I got so many hand me downs and outfits as gifts. She grew out of so much that she didn't get to wear!

ETA: We never used newborn diapers went straight to size 1. At 1 month she was already in size 2. You just don't know how big your baby will be and how quickly they will grow.

Anyone else shopping?

I only bought her coming home outfit a few weeks ago. I got a lot of clothes at my shower and a ton more given to me by various people... I dont plan on buying her any clothes myself.

Re: Anyone else shopping?

Here's a BTDT suggestion:

Don't wash anything yet and keep receipts!

Carters and JC Penny lets you exchange at any time and gives you back the way you paid for full value as long as you have receipt. They are awesome - I just returned stuff I bought in July when I was pregnant!

I think the baby stores are harder with seasonal merchandise.

A friend told me only to wash as needed and it was a great suggestion. I washed a few newborn things and a few 0-3 before she was born. Once I knew how big she was, we did a load of laundry and washed the rest. We do laundry every 3 days or so, so it was no big deal.

I still have not washed any 6 month, etc. I will do so once she grows out so I can return or exchange things if needed.

Edited to add - you may receive a lot of outfits as gifts. I didn't get that much as my shower but the cuteness has been pouring in now that she is born.
