anyone else held to a higher standard at work?
There is another girl in my office who has the same function as me but so much more is expected of me. My hours are 8-5, hers are 8:30-4:30. She takes lunch every day, a full hour. I eat at my desk. Today, she never called in just didn't show. Finally someone called her at like 11 to find out where she was. Whenever i say anything to my boss, he asks me why I care and tells me that i make more money then her anyway, but my estimations I make less then 10K mroe then her if that. I get so annoyed and frustrated.

Oh yes.....everyone else also seems to get away with stuff, and I just don't get it.

Re: anyone else held to a higher standard at work?
My last job was like that. My co-worker could get days off, leave early, call in sick for crap reasons and meanwhile if I asked to leave early my boss would FIND me something to do - no matter how trivial. So glad I don't work there anymore!!

Re: anyone else held to a higher standard at work?
YES!!! I am always treated like the "older child". It is always "my" fault and no one else can do as bad as myself. There is one girl who rarely has anything to do and sits on the phone all day. I know she is not making much less than me and she can't make any mistakes because she barely has anything to do!!

Definitely. It's expected I work through lunch, work weekends, and do whatever it takes.

Re: anyone else held to a higher standard at work?
Because I work in 1 of our building on the weekends I work, I am repsonsible for everything. Arrangements Cleaning Dressing & hair & makeup on people removals from hospitals EVERYTHING
Yet I was yelled at last week for hiring someone t ohair & makeup on a lady bacuse I felt I did not have the time to do it. The directors in the other buildings are not expected to do that....yet I should have had time. I actually do twice as much as them sometimes......it's frustrating
