Anyone else feel this way?
Today is CD1 and while I am DEVESTATED, I feel better than I did the past 2 days. The constant worry, checking to see if it's here, the anxiety, agonizing over every pain, etc. I cried all night yesterday. Today I got AF and I feel better.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. These two weeks between O and AF are torture. I always feel like even though it's not the answer I WANT, at least it's an answer.

Re: Anyone else feel this way?
Yea....I feel the same way. I know this sounds crazy, and I don't expect this to work for everyone....but I have brainwashed myself into getting really excited for CD1 and thinking of it as another opportunity. I know that may sound crazy.....but whenever I get AF, I just think to myself....."This is the first day of a new, fertile cycle....." I know it sounds nuts....but sometimes it helps me to take that frame of mind. There are some months that I am really angry and don't think that way.......but sometimes it helps.
This is CD1 of a new cycle for you. Lots of headed your way!

Re: Anyone else feel this way?
Absolutely.
Not this cycle, but the one before I really thought I was PG, and tested. I got a BFN, and was so depressed the whole day. I had two parties to go to, and I was a meep at both.
The next day AF came and sealed the deal that I was not PG. I felt such a weight lifted.
I think the anticipation of it all, and not knowing is the worst part, so when an anwer comes one way or the other, you can't help but feel relieved in a sense.

Re: Anyone else feel this way?
The day AF arrives I usually feel heartbroken. From the day after AF until around 7DPO I feel so calm & sane. After 7DPO it's constant analyzing of symptoms & just complete insanity. I'm seriously afraid to O this month because I don't want to feel that way again.

YEah I get that.... I am so anxious so once I get AF I can cry it out and move on. It was a little harder this month but most months I am like that.

Re: Anyone else feel this way?
When AF comes try to think of it as new hope - you are starting a new cycle - and this cycle could be it!

Re: Anyone else feel this way?
To be honest, during the 2WW I do obsess a little and analyze, but the wait isn't so excruciating other than I just want to know.
I don't get heartbroken when I get BFNs, I just take it as it comes. I think it's mainly that this whole thing is so incredibly surreal. But, I am also extremely pragmatic and I *try* not to get carried away with anything until I have firm proof-- it's not worth the disappointment otherwise.
I do like the time period when I don't have to pee in a cup, spit on a microscope or analyze what comes out of my lady parts. It's a total PITA.
