anyone else DC drop in the height percentile at a well visit?
i was shocked to find that at my DD 1 yr well she went from 50% in height to 25% in height....has this happened to anyone else...does it go back up....? it freaked me a bit..

DS was 50% in weight and 95% in height...at his 9 month appt he is now 50/50.

Exactly the same here. DD went from 50th in height to 25th from 9 months to 1 year. Her weight went from 75th to 50th too. Doc wasn't concerned... and I'm not either, kinda figured she wouldn't be up there in the height chart for long!

Percentiles are not something to really worry about....DD has never been higher than the 50th...usually lower....at her 18 months check up, she dropped to the 5th percentile for height! She is just tiny, that's all. It just means that she is only taller than 5% of the other kids her age. Just as if you are in the 95th percentile for heights, you are taller than 95% of the other kids. It's no big deal.

i have a feeling DD will drop % at her 1 year visit in 2 weeks (she'll be 13 months)
shes always been about 75th% for both weight and height, like 25th for head circ
her last visit they said she didnt really grow (height) at all, and was starting to plateau a little. also, she's been thinning out A LOT since she's been walking

I figure it is bound to happen with DS. He has been in the 90-95 percentile for height. DH is 6' and I am 5'7 so while I "think" he will wind up being a little taller than average, I don't think he is going to be super-tall!
