Anyone doing the Hampton marathon?
The post about the NYC got me wondering. I decided last week to start training. It's 16 weeks away so I started week one this week (sorry Violet Speedsters, my mileage starts at only 15 a week  ).
I am not ready for the "process" of the NYC (the lottery, the wait, the crowds, Staten Island etc.) and wanted to start with a smaller marathon.

that's great- good for you!
My first was Philadelphia, which was awesome. The big ones are great because of the crowd support and entertainment but the smaller ones are fun also! And Hamptons is becoming a big marathon, I'm sure there will be lots of spectators!

I would consider it, but it's the same weekend as Cow Harbor.
eta: you may have inspired me to do the albany marathon this oct...

I did the half last year...it was good (except for the rain) the course is a bit plain...through neighborhoods and such but I really enjoyed it. It was very peaceful! GOOD LUCK WITH TRAINNIG!
