Anyone been to Novita for a shower?
Hi all, I'm researching some shower venues and I'm looking for feedback about Novita from anyone with experience there for a shower or a private party.
Where was the party - in the downstairs room, front lounge area? Did they use the curtain to separate the front lounge from the rest of the restaurant?
Any pros / cons??
I have only been here a handful of times for dinner, never for an event, but their menu looks great, I just don't love sharing the restaurant and having a weird curtain as a wall. TIA!
ETA: other similar suggestions are appreciated. We have a couple of other options, but I really like the varied menu at Novita. It's different.

I've been there for 2 private events. This first one was a christening, it was in the back of the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. There was no curtain separating us from the rest of the restaurant but it was still very nice and felt private since we had the whole area to ourselves.
The second was a 40th birthday party in the downstairs room which I preferred since it was private. It had a very 'loung-y' feel: couches, passed hors d'oeuvres, buffet, private bar, music. It looks like you could set up tables and chairs for more of a formal event if you wanted to.
The food was great at both events.

Thanks for your reply!
Any idea how many people they had at the event in the proper restaurant?
I'm not sure why they've only offered the back area (near the bar / entrance from the parking lot) for our party. We would be about 60 people.

My mom hosted my bridal shower there 2 years ago. We loved it! We were 75 people and had the whole restaurant for brunch. I think it was 12-4. Food/drinks were great, I would host another event there in a heartbeat.

I'd say it was around 50 people. We were on the other side of the restaurant, past the bar...maybe there's already another party that will be going on in that area?
I've also been to a shower at Waterzooi which was really nice, you might want to check their menu out. The shower I went too had a brunch menu but I've eaten dinner there a few times and their food is great.

Re: Anyone been to Novita for a shower?
Thanks both!!
I will definitely ask about the other half of the restaurant, it seems nicer to me.
We had our engagement party at Waterzooi and really liked it, but Novita gives you a lot more options for the menu, so that was appealing. Just something different.
Thanks for your feedback!
