Any tips for lower back pain?
I am 33 weeks and have been pretty lucky so far pregnancy-wise. However, I have had awful lower back pain the last week. It is particularly bad at night when I am trying to sleep. I have tried the snoogle or a pillow between my legs, but it hasn't helped much.
Any tips to relieve the pain?
TIA!

would it help to have a pillow under your belly for some support? That should help to correct some of the sway in your back while you sleep

I take a very hot shower and put a pillow under my knees.

Re: Any tips for lower back pain?
I would try using a heating pad, or hot water bottle while sitting on the couch. Also pillow under the belly, and between the ankles. For some reason between the ankles feels better to me than between the knees. Also some light stretching. You could visit a Physical Therapist they should be able to offer you some relief. If you need one I know an amazing PT in Nassau county. Maybe a prenatal massage.

There is a great little book I recently discovered "Relieving Pelvic Pain during and after Pregnancy" It gives a lot of great tips in daily life to help support your muscles so they don't get achy.
The yoga pose "cat-cow", similar to pelvic tilts helps me instantly and helps me the most.
