I have the Shark Vac-then-Steam... It is phenomenal... sssuucks up like nobody's business and then steams the floors so clean! I don't have wood - I use this for tile but it would work great either way! HTH!

I have the shark vacuum. I love it except the batteries dont last very long.

Use the swiffer sweeper vac - it's probably the best thing ever made for hardwood floors in my opinion...

Ok I am gonna get this b/c I am such a huge swiffer fan in general but need a vac for crumbs,etc. Is it rechargeable or battery operated?
