Any DC's sick for their first bday?
Ugg, I'm so upset. My DD has been having lots of fun with her cousins all week. I found out today that they are both sick, running fevers, coughing, throwing up, you name it. Unfortunately, my DD was extremely close to them and her bday is tomorrow. We're having a party on Saturday for her as well. I'm not sure whether to cancel the catering at this point. Her temp is 99.2 last time I checked. I just feel so bad. I wanted this to be such a special bday for her, and I feel like it might be ruined.

Ugh, I can symphatize. I say don't cancel anything yet, wait & see. A lot of people are probably looking forward to the party, and you'd probably lose $ if you cancel and need to re-book at a later date, I'm guessing.
DD developed a UTI with a ridiculously high fever 4 days before her first b-day. She was antibiotics, but she was just not herself on that day...it was sad, but thankfully she wasn't in pain or anything, so it wasn't like I dragged her to her party & made her suffer. But it was sad how sad she was
Good luck!

YES!!!!!!!!!! She had that stomach virus that day. She only got it in the morning. Yes, bad mommy, I still had the party and kept everyone away from her. She was still running around, but her tummy was a little upset. Hey, it was going around anyway.
