Any advice on getting 3 month to bed earlier?

She goes down at midnight. Will she eventually start to adjust and go down earlier and when? Do I need to wake her from naps or try something different or is she just a baby and I need to ride this out?

Every night for the past week or longer we try to put her down every hour starting at 8pm and she just won't have it. She used to have a witching hour and clusterfeeding episode from 6pm-midnight so we could never get her down before that time. She is starting to outgrow it though, whew, so we want to try and start an earlier bedtime. We tried in Dec but gave up when we had family here so now trying again.

Once down at midnight she sleeps 6 hours, eats at 6am and goes right back down till 10am. Durin the day she likes to take a long nap, can go 4+ hours but have been waking her after 2.5-3 hours with hopes to get her down earlier but no success. She also does a catnap at night here or there but usually she is just awake for several hours and then uses the boob to fall asleep at 12.

Do I keep trying to put her down early? When can I expect her to have an earlier bedtime?

Our three month old will fight if e try to put her down before 1130. DH says its wasted effort so we play and read to her and at 11 we get her ready for bed at 1130. She will STTN we let her sleep as long as she wants and I do not wake her from her naps

I would start trying to put your dc down 15-30 mins earlier each night. Eventually dc will develop a better bedtime and you'll get your life back Chat Icon good luck!

Any advice on getting 3 month to bed earlier?

My dd will be 10 weeks on Tuesday. Up until new years eve she went down at 12 and slept about 5 hours before waking, eating then asleep till 7-8. All of a sudden on nye she went down at 10 and sleeps till 4 or 5, wakes has a bottle and back down till 7:30-9( varies) she naps during day - longer if I run errands or take her for walk (sleeps In Carseat) if just in house she sleeps in swing.

Yes have tried that too and sometimes it works and sometimes not! She just fights it so bad and cries and cries.

We are in the same boat. No matter what we do Ds wont go to sleep before 11. Once he is asleep he sleeps all night and wakes up around 7 or so to eat and back to sleep another 3+ hrs. After the morning nap he takes cat naps so it's not like he sleeps too much. He is awake from around 6 to 11 , no cat nap, nothing. We have tried everything but he wont fall asleep before 11, cries and whines, even if I rock him , he just won't fall asleep.
I appreciate the fact that he sleeps TTN but would love to get a little break at night before I go to bed.
I'm hoping that he'll start going to sleep earlier soon. Even if it's 10 I'll take it, lol.
But he's been like this since 6 weeks or so.

Last night I was so tired, just wanted to sleep, so I started bedtime around 9 I tried bath, reading, lowering lights, tried Rock n play, stroller, bouncer, P&P (where he usually sleeps for now) a crib, tried rocking, singing, BF , everything I could think of but no luck. Come 11 pm and he got really sleepy, I fed him, put him down and he fell asleep without a problem, didn't even need to rock him or anything. It's like he has this weird clock that tells him NOT to sleep before 11 ! Chat Icon

This is what we did and it worked! DS (3 1/2 months) was going down around 9:30pm for a while so we started giving him his last bottle earlier and earlier for a few weeks. Now his bedtime is 8pm and it takes him 5-10 mins to fall asleep once we put him in his crib. He sleeps until 6:30/7am.

Good luck!!!
