Another weaning question for the ebf moms

Once you cut down to 2 sessions a day, how many ounces of regular milk was your LO taking in a day?

DD is almost 14 months and is still at 3 sessions a day. I've been offering almond milk throughout the day but she really only takes in a few ounces (maybe 2-4 oz total). Today I didn't offer the midday session and she's been okay so far. She does have a yogurt at lunch but doesn't have any other dairy. I feel kinda clueless here since I have no idea how much she drinks in a typical day.

Dd nurses morning and night. She gets 3 meals, 1 snack and about 10-12oz of whole milk a day.

Re: Another weaning question for the ebf moms

My DS is nursing AM/PM now and I don't have much of a supply left. He is getting 2 bottles during the day of 4-5 ounces each. he will usually finish one but not the other so is probably only taking about 6--7 oz total of soy milk mixed w/ frozen BM 50/50. I have no idea how to drop the am/pm feeding because I breast feed the second he gets up and also its now I have put him to sleep at night from day 1.

Thanks ladies. She was up to maybe 6 ounces yesterday so getting better and never even looked to nurse after her nap. Much easier than I expected so hopefully it stays that way.

petvet- No idea how to drop those either! If DH is around when DD wakes up, she's more distracted and I can hold her off a bit or she'll just nurse less. Maybe try to distract him somehow. As for night, DD doesn't nurse to sleep unless she's really tired, so I'm hoping someday I can just go through her routine without nursing but there definitely may be a lot of crying involved. Not quite ready for that though!
