Another UTI

I woke up with another UTI. I had one like a month or so ago now again. I am taking Uristat and I can't even hold my pee long enough to test on my opks.

I am in so much pain today. I hope I'm better tomorrow.

i used to get them all the time if you put a couple alka seltzer tabs in a glass of water and drink it when you first start getting that twinge it usually takes care of it.

I cured my own UTI in 24 hours by taking Uristat as often as recommended on the box and drinking an entire bottle of white cranberry juice. I had a gyno appointment 2 days after I first got the UTI and there was no sign of it by the time I got to the doctor!

Feel better. I know how much those STINK!

ughh.. i hate them
i always drink Cranberry juice and it totally helps me.
i cant believe how much it works!

Thanks girls. DH has the car today so I have to wait till 7pm for him to bring me some cranberry juice. Good things I have the Uristat here.

This so far has been the WORST I've had. I've been in bed most of the day because it hurts to stand or sit.

I have a apt tomorrow with the dr.

I hear ya... I get them often as well. Especially now TTC and not going to the bathroom right away after BD. Lots and lots of water to flush it out, 100% cranberry juice (try to stay away from the partial or high sugar juices), and yogurt. Hopefully it'll go away.

Same here! I never EVER got one in my life.........then last month I did. Now this month it came back (not as bad). Im taking the AZO cranberry.....seems to be working.

So annoying though! Don't feel like trekking to the DR to get a prescription since its not bad. Last month, I HAD to!

I never tried Uristat.....I guess that'll be my next option if the Cranberry doesnt clear it.

Ever since I met DH, pretty much every time we BD'd I would get one. After like 4 or 5 my GYN said I had to see a specialist. So I did and he said it's honeymoon cystitis. Then told me I have to take antibiotics right after relations to prevent it.

Mine got so bad at one point within 12hours I was seeing blood in my urine and had to go to the ER.

The OTC stuff like AZT Cran and stuff is just an anelgesic and makes u comfortable. It does not kill the infection once you have it. You def need antibiotics to clear that up.

UTI's are the worst! Sorry you have one. Try to drink lots of water when you don't have one. You have to flush out the bacteria. I wouldn't hold my urine if I were you. It's only going to make matters worse. Feel better!
