Another Spinoff to the BFP thread
I was thinking - and in all honesty - does anyone thing that this thread will really be kept up throughout the year with all of the BFP's that are announced on LIF.
I did the 2ww for November and that was a full time job in itself
Seriously though - I just can't imagine this thread living past January!
Don't hate me - I'm just being honest!

Re: Another Spinoff to the BFP thread
I think it will be hard.
I started those 2WW threads and was SO glad when others volunteered to take over the months..
It's definitely hard to keep up with - and especially if the OP ends up graduating, I'm sure she won't want to stick around TTC just to update that thread.
I think it was done with the best of intentions though and meant to kind of get us all excited about the crazy amount of BFPs we've had lately... so if it ends up fading, I'm sure that's just fine.

Oh - I hope no one takes this the wrong way, I def. know it was done with the best of intentions and I think it's a great idea for the TTC board - I just think it will be very very hard work to keep up with!!

Re: Another Spinoff to the BFP thread
honestly i have to agree with you..
but for someone like me who has had a MC , and to possibly still see your name up there as a BFP can be upsetting.. and thats where "keeping up" with the thread can be difficult.. so its really a couple things i guess..
but if the OP of the thread can keep up even when she gets a BFP then i am all for it..

Re: Another Spinoff to the BFP thread
I think if everyone who gets a BFP posts the info to the original BFP thread, it won't be too hard to keep up with it.
ETA...honestly its a year long job and I would not be surprised at all if the OP just wasn't able to keep up with it (or just didn't want to).
Its a nice idea though, and very generous to offer to do it.

ITA-it will be a PITA-if someone is up for doing it, that is great. But it will be tough!

The M/C issue can make it a bit difficult too-it is painful to have a reminder!

Re: Another Spinoff to the BFP thread
Ummmm - EXCUUUUUSE me - but if you knew who I was in real life, you would know I am extremely perseverent. To a fault!
EVEN when I get a BFP (or If I do) I would keep it up. I love doing this! And I would ask someone to keep it up for me on the days when I couldn't do it. I already have it planned!
I did think of the downside to this. I know m/c can happen.
I can remove the name, but still keep the number there - if everyone thinks it is ok. i would never keep the name up. that would be painful.
Don't underestimate the abilities of ol' ROMANCEnBABYDANCE!
ETA - I may have a January list, and a February list, etc - a list for each month. Come February, I won't be numbering them anymore - thats too much work - but for the month of Jan its exciting to see the actual number of BFP's!!!!

God bless you !!! I could never keep up a list on here.
I can't even keep up with the BFPs, let alone maintain a list.
I do find your list very helpful, so I'm all for you continuing.
having had miscarriages, I think the # and name needs to come down with a m/c. I would hate to see a # on the list with no name, I think it would be a sad reminder of the m/c for everyone that reads the list.

Re: Another Spinoff to the BFP thread
I agree-I think it will be hard. I do like the excitement of it and it's a great way to start the year, but if it fades, so be it.
If it is able to continue on, I think it would be really cool to look back throughout the year-though I also think that as people move on to the pregnancy board and eventually parenting, it will be less interesting to many.
