Another Question at the bottom
So my doctor told me to do the ovulation kits as well while we are testing to see what's going on with me...if anything.
I bought two Answer 7 day test kits at Walmart. Please tell me when I should start testing and what time and any tips you may have.
my cylces for the last 6 cyles have been 34, 41, 41, 41, 39, 40.
Thanks girls.

Re: Answer - Ovulation kit
I read that with irregular cycles you should start on CD10 - but it looks like you wouldn't see a positive until at least CD18 according to your prior cycles.
Good Luck!

Re: Answer - Ovulation kit
With irregular cycles like you need to test lots. I used the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor and they have you test for 20 days during the first cycle. You may want to think about that because it will let you know low, high and peak as opposed to just ovulated or not. With just 14 days of tests and irregular cycles you could miss it... I'd start on day 15 if I was just going to do 14 with your cycle history.

Re: Answer - Ovulation kit
Walmart has those 7 packs for a good price but maybe consider the Answer 20 pack PIAC kind. I think they are just as sensitive as the 7 pack, if not more and they are generally about $1 per stick.
Do you get O pains? Do you know how/when they correspond with your O?

I don't get ovulation pains every month....where do you get the 20 pack? I only saw 7 in Walmart.
Thank you girls for responding

Re: Question at the bottom - Answer test
The test line needs to be as dark, if not darker than the control line.
I also have irregular periods, and my dr told me to start testing on CD10

Similar isn't good enough. The test line must be the same color or darker than the control line.

No, it is not a positive...the line needs to be darker than the test line or at least the same color...A lot of women think they are ovulating when they see 2 lines where in fact they are not..
That is why I like digitals with smiley faces...no confusion there....
Good luck!!

Re: Question at the bottom - Answer test
The test looked like the left bottom under positive....
Answer
Does the appearance of the line mean that I'm coming close to the date assuming that this was not the positive....and does the line disappear after the surge happens?
Thanks ladies...

Re: Question at the bottom - Answer test
I use three things: CBEFM, regular POAS OPKs and the digitals (the digitals don't ever work for me! I have yet to see a smiley face on it!)

Yes, the appearance of the line means you're close, and yes it disappears after the surge (meaning the test won't show the darker test line).
After viewing the pic from the link, I would just get to BD ASAP.

Re: Question at the bottom - Answer test
Ok...so I just tested and the line is darker than the the reference line..... I came home for lunch and bded today....should I wait to friday or should i do the deed everyday....I'll be away from hubby fri night until sunday evening!!!!!! Am I going to miss it????
Edited to say....my cycle has been 40-41 days for the last 6 cycles prior to my last AF March 30 which made my cycle 34 days long...THANK GOD....I listened to you girls and started testing on CD12 because if i had gone by my last 7 cylcles I should have started on CD17 which meant that I would have missed my surge!!!!
Just some info for those with irregular periods.....
