Another question about pressure mounted gates in doorway

I've been looking at these gates for my daughter. I was wondering if that bottom bar gets in the way, I mean can you trip over it and does the baby have a problem crawling or walking over it? My daughter got a gate that's hardware mounted and opens with a foot pedal, but it's horrible so she's looking into another option. Since she already has holes in the door frame, she was going to look for another hardware mounted gate, figuring there wouldn't be that bar across the bottom.

does she have the foot pedal gate installed properly? those are the best gates out there IMO.

We have a bar at the bottom and my dd and I learned how to go over it. I don't even think about anymore. I have no problems with it. I wouldn't do that at stairs but in the kitchen it's fine.
