Pressure mounted gate in a doorway
If you have a pressure mounted gate in a doorway, is it strong enough if your baby pulls up on it or pushes against it that it won't fall? My daughter is looking for a gate for the doorway to the kitchen but she's afraid that if the pressure mounted gate isn't tight enough, the my granddaughter might push it over or something. It's a narrow doorway around 28". Any recommendations?

Re: Pressure mounted gate in a doorway
I have a pressure mounted gate in the doorway to my kitchen and it withstands my almost 18 month old daughter pushing/pulling on it and my 50lb dog jumping on it.
Totally sturdy - she shouldn't have any problems.

I have a pressure mounted gate with the swinging door and my daughter has yet to take it down. She bangs and shakes it like its a jail cell door! We've also had it withstand friends dogs, our cats and even DH leaning on it! I have the Summer Infant Decor Extra Tall gate.
