another park hopper question....
so, I came ahttp://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/attractions/magic-kingdom.htmlcross this
I plan on going to Magic Kingdon, animal kingdom and 1 other park, but NOT in 1 day on three separate days. Does it pay to get this? Is park hoppers JUST for going to 2 parks in 1 day.

another park hopper question....
that's what my understanding of a park hopper ticket is. If you plan on hitting more than 1 park in 1 day. If you don't plan to do so then I wouldn'get it. I know for me, going with 2 small kids, we didn't do the parkhopper because we felt it would be too much for smaller kids so we concentrated on 1 park a day and it worked out. However, if you make dining reservations at multiple parks in 1 day you should def get the park hopper.

Re: another park hopper question....
A park hopper allows you to visit more than one park a day.
For example, with a park hopper, you can start at Magic Kingdom, leave and go to Hollywood Studios and then head to Epcot for dinner and fireworks.
Without a parkhopper, you can come and go into the same park as often as you'd like in a day, but you can't go to a different park. In other words, you can go to Magic Kingdom in the morning, take a mid-afternoon break and head back to Magic Kingdom again at night for fireworks.

Re: another park hopper question....
Just food for thought, if you are staying at one of the monorail resorts, I would recommend the park hopper. We upgraded to park hopper when we got to our hotel, and I am sooo glad we did. It was so nice to just be able to hop on the monorail and go to either MK or epcot after a day spent at another park. I was totally set against doing it, but so glad that we did!

Re: another park hopper question....
You only need a hopper if you plan to visit more than one park in one day. We often go to EPCOT for dinner so we might go to AK or HS in the morning then MK for the parade or EPCOT for dinner.
If you only plan to go to one park a day there is no reason to get it. I don't think I would get one for one evening, unless you want to change your plans around and plan to park hop more often.

Re: another park hopper question....
How do they know if you are really park hopping or just going to 3 separate parks?

Re: another park hopper question....
so I found www.orlandofuntickets.com
They give you park hopper tickets and base tickets to go to 2, 3, 4 day parks. Is this worth it? I mean we are going to 4 separate parks, and the price looked good? or am I misreading it?

Re: another park hopper question....
Base tickets are cheaper than park hoppers, so if you're not park hopping (more than one park a day), you should just get regular tickets.

I think you are miss reading it.
Let me break it down.
There is a base MYW ticket. This gives you one park per day only. The more days you add the cheaper per day it gets. So say you get an 7 day ticket, and 8 day might only be say $10 or whatever more to add the extra day.
You cannot for example get a 5 day ticket and use 3 days to go to MK, EPCOT, and HS. The use one day to hop to AK after going to HS or MK after a morning in EPCOT. You ticket won't work for entry into another park even if you want to use one of your extra days.
If you want to enter 2 parks in one day (even if you only want to do it one time all week) you are stucking adding the park hopper option to the base ticket.
You don't get 2 separate tickets. It is a base ticket then you can add extras to that ticket. So you can add to the one park a day the option to: Park hop water park and more (disney quest etc) Non expire (which I think they might be getting rid of)
You can add one of those option, all three or non. But a park hopper and a base ticket are one not separate tickets.
An alternative would be to buy a one day ticket base ticket in addition to your 3 day or whatever base ticket, so you use the one day ticket in another park (if you use the 3 day it will not let you enter the other park but a new separate one day ticket would). However, you can do the math but I pretty sure this makes absolutely no financial sense because a one day ticket is probably more expensive than the hopper option where you could use it every day.
One other option. The cost of the hopper wouldn't change if you buy it now or on your trip. You can add days, or options to your ticket down there. I have gone to concierge and added a day to my ticket before. You could wait until you get down there and if you want to hop, at that time go and pay to upgrade to the hopper option. You would pay the current price to add the option (you might pay slightly more if ticket prices have gone up but you won't waste money on an option you don't need, and if you do, then pay for it then.)

Re: another park hopper question....
We usually get te park hoppers because like lillykat, our family loves Epcot, both for dinner as they have alot of great options and because my older son is a fireworks junkie and Epcot has nightly fireworks.
But on our next trip we will only be there 3 days before going on a cruise and my second DS who has never been to wdw isn't the go all day until closing type whereas his older brother could party til 3am if you let him. Anyway, this time we are saving the money (its about $181 for 2adults +1 kid) and just doing the magic your way base ticket.
You need to look at your family, vacation style and desire for the trip. For instance are you the type of family that stays up later, and will want to do the extra magic hours after one park closes than the Ph option might work for you. However if your family like to relax at night, keeps kids on or near their usual sleep schedule, than you can probably save the money and use it for something else.
PS... my friend just returned from Orlando and loved sea world, said the rides were great.

Re: another park hopper question....
Parkhopper is a ticket add on. With Disney you kind of build your tickets. Let's say you want a 4 day ticket. That's called a base ticket. Then you can add on other options like parkhopper, waterparks fun and more, or no expiration. It's an add on to existing tickets, not separate.
If you know you will use it, select parkhopper when you or your agent orders the tickets. If you're not sure, you can add the option onsite.
With a multi-day ticket the parkhopper option is always the same price, whether you have it from the beginning or add it on the last day and only use it for one day.

another park hopper question....
I've been to Disney more than once. I've gone both with and without the park hopper ticket. I found for my family, the park hopper doesn't make a lot of sense because of the time it takes to travel from one park to the next. That said, if I was going during warm months and was going to add the water parks, I would definitely get the park hopper so I could have dinner at Epcot.

Re: another park hopper question....
like others said, the "park hopper" is an option you can add on to your Disney tickets. so you can buy a base ticket for whatever number of days (2,3,4,5). This base ticket will get you into one park each day. I beleive you can use them in any combo you want to. Like if you buy a 3 day ticket- you can use it for one day in Epcot, the next day in Magic Kingdom, and the next day at Animal Kingdom (so thats 3 days in parks). OR you could use that same 3-day ticket for, say, 2 full days at Magic Kingdom and then one day at Epcot. You can enter and leave the same park as many times per day as you want. IF you add on the "park hopper" option to your tickets, you can use your ticket to go into more than one park per day. So, like others said, you could do a few rides at Magic Kingsom in morning, and then head over to Animal Kingdom for a few more rides, then to Epcot for dinner/fireworks. It really just depends on your family and how you thin you'll use the tickets. If you have really young kids who might get overwhelmed/overtired- you probably won't want to do more than one park per day anyway, so paying extra to add on the park hopper option wouldn't make sense. BUT, if you've been to Disney a lot before and only have a few specific attractions you want to see at each park, the park hopper option makes sense. it makes it a little easier for you to go to severl parks and hit the "highlights". We did this when we went 2 years ago before we DS was here. It was a quick trip (4 nights). We only had 3 full days to do the parks, so we added the park hopper option to make it easier to see what we wanted to see at each park.
