Another Painting/Decorating Question
Honest opinions - do you think it's really dumb to paint nursery same color as master bedroom?
Master is on other side of house so they are not next to each other or anything. Color is Palm Breeze (light sage green.) Wanted a darker sage green in our bedroom - but we have dark furniture and are putting down dark wood floor so my friend who saw the samples felt that we needed to do a lighter sage green as not do completely darken and shrink the room. Nursery will be accented with pink or green when baby comes and will have white furniture and light carpet (bisque) so it will look different - also - natural light sources are very different in both rooms.
What do you think?
Thanks!

Re: Another Painting/Decorating Question
Who says every room has to be different colors? It actually makes a lot of sense to have several rooms the same color. Makes buying paint easier, and you only need one extra can for touchups in both rooms. Until recently, our nursery and Master bedroom were the same colors.... white.... the same as most of the house...

totally agree with Shawn. There are no rules saying you can't have every room done in the same color.
That said, it's good to make sure that the paint will work with each room based on the conditions (lighting, furniture, etc). Sounds though, that you'll be fine using the same in both rooms.

Re: Another Painting/Decorating Question
I think it sounds great! We are actually thinking of using a very similar paint color in our nursery that we have in the bedroom hallway- just slightly brighter, it's a silver sage. But like you said, we will accent with pink or chocolate when the baby is born.

Yes - we put samples in both (all) rooms so we could see the differences.
Thanks, guys!

Re: Another Painting/Decorating Question
Completely fine to do this. Sounds like both rooms are going to look beautiful and different because of the furniture. Can't wait to see them done. GL!

Re: Another Painting/Decorating Question
i think it's fine too....
i just read that when you repeat colors in a home it makes the house feel larger as opposed to feeling "chopped up" when every room has a different color....they say its best to use a few colors and repeat them if you want the home to appear more spacious....
after reading that and seeing an example of it i think we are going to follow that logic when we paint....
i think it will be fine!
