another kindergarten question...
this is dumb... i can't figure this out.
DS is born April 23rd, 2011
Will he start kinder when he is 4 and turn 5 in april
or
Will he start at 5 and turn 6 in April...
like I said...im dumb today

5 turning 6
DS is 4 now and in PreK. His birthday is end of May so he'll turn 5 then and start kindergarten in Sept. He will turn 6 while in kindergarten.

Most LI schools have a cut off date of December 1st or December 31st depending on district. Your child must be 5 before that date to start K.

5 turning 6
Enjoy it. AJ is the barely 5 since her bday was 2 weeks prior to cut off (in TX its Sept 1st). She's the smallest in class and a few of her classmates are 6 already (they had bdays from Sept 1st on) so they are ahead in some areas vs my kiddo.

5 turning 6 since your DS birthday is in April. The only time it may be 4 turning 5 is for the late birthday babies Oct-Dec.
My DS was 4 entering K because he is an Oct. baby.

I hear ya. Maybe a full time private pre-k will he cheaper than daycare depending on the hours you need DS in it.
My son school has pre-k2-4 and it half the price of what I was paying for his daycare. Which ended up not teaching him anything in terms of structure. I wish I had knew about it last year.
