i am bringing her rocker chair (it folds up). if your baby is real small newborn, you can always just take the carseat inside for her to sit in.

Re: Another holiday question for moms w/ newborns
We bring the snap n go into our family's homes. No biggie. I kind of helps as a mobile caddy for all your baby gear!
We sometimes bring his bouncy seat but with everyone taking turns, he's rarely unheld. And a good old blanket on the floor with toys works great. He's got 8 cousins to fawn over him on a continuing rotation. My mom has a high chair that he sits at the table for meals.
Pack n' play sounds cool though... may consider that for this round!

Re: Another holiday question for moms w/ newborns
Maybe I will just do the pack n play. Just felt it was very bulky. DD gets so hot in her car seat (w/ the bundle me) so I do not like leaving her in that.
**is it rude to bring in the stroller into someones house? Would you be grossed out if someone did this at your house?

We are going to be home for Christmas but we went to my brothers house a few weeks ago and brought their bouncy seats with us and they sat in those.

Re: Another holiday question for moms w/ newborns
We're bringing the bouncy seat. She's a little older now, but when she was around 2 months or so, we'd bring that, or leave her in the infant carrier. I also figure she's going to be passed around a lot, so I won't have to worry.

Re: Another holiday question for moms w/ newborns
I'll be bringing DD in in her carseat & then bringing the PNP for if/when she falls asleep. Unfortunately/fortunately I won't need a seat to put her in when she's awake since everyone is going to want to hold her

We have a swing over at my parents where we will be.
If we go someplace else she's just passed around!

Re: Another holiday question for moms w/ newborns
For Thanksgiving, we carried him into my sister's house in his infant carrier and left the stroller in the car.
We brought his bouncy seat and blankets to lay on the floor. I don't usually let him hang out in his infant seat, so the bouncy got used instead.
We also brought the pack n play, but left it in the car. We brought it as a backup just in case, as my sister has a dog and we didn't know how he'd behave around the baby.
I wouldn't typically bring my stroller into someone's home, especially on a big holiday with a lot of people around and limited space.

We are going to bring a pack n play to my moms. They have a cat, so I don't want him near the ground.
