Another Charting Question...

When do you start to chart? When AF starts or the first after AF ends?
What time?
Is there a special themometer?
Is in an oral thermometer?? (please say yes...)

I start on CD 1, so yes the day AF comes.

You can temp at whatever time you want - it just has to be your normal waking time. You will need to temp at the same time each day, so it's best IMO to pick the time when you'd normally wake up for work.

You need a basal thermometer. You can find them at CVS. I have the CVS-brand one, it was about $10.

You can temp orally (which I do) or vaginally.

yes - oral thermometer.

Look for a BASAL thermometer.

I started the first day i got the thermometer - i think you are supposed to start the first day of AF.

Make sure it's the same time every day - whenever you first wake up. NO getting out of bed to shut off an alarm, nothing - wake up, roll over, take temp.

just know the if you temp the days of your period..the temp may be a little wacky and not steady. They'll usually even out the closer you get to o time. They also say vaginal is more accurate but i always temp orally and my charts have always worked out just fine.

I start on CD1; although they say you dont really need to start taking your temp. until AF ends
