Another attorney question
Is there a fee for the initial meeting? I want to call and make an appt for an initial consultation but want to be prepared if I will be expected to lay out money at the first meeting. TIA.

that is dependent on the attorney. many will have a free half hour consultation or whatever, but there is no set rule.

Yes, fee structures and rates vary widely among attorneys.
Before you schedule anything, I would call and ask what the attorney would charge to handle your transactions. And you can also let them know that you would like to schedule an in-person meeting with them, and ask them if they charge for such initial consultations.
