I'm just amazed that so far, Anns and Maries comprise over 50% of people responding. That means that the other 99.9999% of possible names are given to less than half of all females.

my catholic Great-Grandmother wigged out that my mom gave me a Hebrew first name, and Ann was the only saint my non practicing protestant mother knew

Mine is Ann too. My mom says "it went well with the rest of your name"
It doesn't matter to me since I never use it...never even heard it when I was a kid unless I was in trouble

Mine is "other" but my niece's middle name is Marie.
That said, my confirmation name is after St. Ann (chosen to honor my mom's first name which is a variation of Ann).

Mine is other, but I know 3 people with Ann as a middle name and 2 with Marie.
