Angelcare Monitor question for you Mommies
I am putting this monitor on my registry along with a regular monitor.
The Bebe sounds heart monitor was stinky and never worked properly Has anyone had any problems using the Angelcare monitor? Or would you recommend this?
TIA!

Re: Angelcare Monitor question for you Mommies
I loved it for a bassinet. Once Kaitee could roll (4 1/2 months old) we moved it and her to her crib. It started going off once a night. Kaitee would roll of the pad and then sleep very still and it would go off. I called the company and they had me troubleshoot with it and it was still going off! I went through so much with it to work. The woman from the company on the phone told me that it shouldn't alarm even if they are in a king size bed and roll off the sensor pad. So they thought mine was broken. They wanted me to send it to them (costing ME shipping) and they would test it. They would only replace it if THEY saw problems. That Idea didn't sound good to be and I already had a $100 gift card so I decided to go buy a new one and test it for a week. I had the SAME problem with that one. I was on the phone with them while Kaitee was asleep and it was STILL alarming. They told me it was because my daughter slept to still. So I took it back. I ended up taking the sensor pad out and I am still just using the sound part but it has too much interferance so I hate it! I had a SIDS baby and EVERYtime that alarm went off I went crazy and ran in there. Too much stress. I will use it again in the bassinet when the new baby comes.

We have it and LOVE it!!!
When she first goes to sleep, she is upstairs and I am down. It give me such peace of mind to see those lights and hear that clicking to know shes ok.
It only went off once so far for us. Last week, I never ran so fast in my life. She had rolled to the corner of the crib and I guess off the mat. But its not bad since she rolls all over the place now and this is the one time she actually rolled off the mat. I would really recommend it.

Re: Angelcare Monitor question for you Mommies
The alarm is loud enough to hear but not screeching.
The simple fact that the alarm goes off is the scary part I guess. When I heard it the other night, I flew up the stairs. I forgot, it happened twice. The other night in the middle of the night it went off..it doesnt shock you because its loud..its just you get scared because its going off ya know?

I loved this moniter, I had it in the bassinet and I slept so much better with it on. It did go off some times with false alarms because she would roll off the area of the matt, but I was a great moniter.

Re: Angelcare Monitor question for you Mommies
We used this for both DC. We got a few false alarms, but it was worth it, considering the piece of mind it gave us. We have one that doesn't have the sound portion. I went with the best motion sensor, and a separate sound monitor. Since the motion sensor is pretty loud, it more than carried through the separate sound monitor in the same room.

Have it, love it, recommend it. Like it was said before, we had a couple of false alarms when she rolled all the way in the corner but at least I knew it was working.
