Angelcare monitor question

Some of you might rememeber I was having problems with my monitor alarming even when she was laying on the sensor pad. I talked to the company and they wanted me to pay to send it in and they would only replace it if it failed their tests. So I got a GC to Babies r us so I decided to just go buy a new machine. The alarm still goes off! I have done the tests that the instruction manual tells you to do but when she is in deep sleep and has rolled off the sensor pad it still alarms. It will be 3 in the morning and will go off. I will walk into her room and it senses me when I am across the room but it can't feel her in the crib! Is it possible that my DD sleeps to still to be felt?

BTW: She sleeps through the alarming. I have to touch my belly or back to make sure she is still breathing.
I lost my son and everytime I hear this alarm my heart drops thinking this will be the time she is really gone I will try anything to get this stupid machine to work! I haven't used it in 2 nights because it stresses me out but now I can't sleep without the machine on.

Can you try a different solid piece to sit it on under the crib- Maybe what its on is the problem (just on a whim???)

But isn't the alarm supposed to go off if the baby rolls off the sensor pad?
I have one too, it worked great while he was in the bassinet but now that he's in the crib, it didn't work at all, then it did and then it started acting wonky, the "tick sound" started ticking very fast all of a sudden. But the alarm didn't go off. DS doens't roll over yet but he does move his feet so he can turn in the crib (he goes around like the arm of a clock..lol) but we don't turn on the monitor anymore. I do understand your frustration w/ it not working though. I also agree w/ the other poster, try a harder or thicker piece of wood under the mattress.

Maris is right, I totally forgot about that. I had a carboard box under it on top of the springs. It needs to be on something firm.
